In 2014, new housing project ‘De Kameleon’ was the first plan in the large-scale centre development ‘Brouwerspoort’ in Veenendaal, where Ingenious really wanted to make a difference. Just like many other projects of Ingenious, this project arose from the redevelopment that Ingenious made of a construction plan of the former developer that had come to a stand-still because of the crisis. The project is characterised by its urban, yet friendly architecture and use of high value materials.
Ingenious built 20 rented apartments of the non-subsidized housing sector here, of about 65 square metres, with two private terraces and a private parking place at walking distance. Apart from that, Ingenious created ten small-scale commercial spaces of about 100 square metres in this project. In these commercial spaces, there are boutiques and some housing-work combinations. One can visit a nice lunch room here, or a beauty parlour, a bridal shop, an ICT company, a personal trainer and a beautiful establishment of ‘Bagels & Beans’ at the prominent top of this project.
