Living in a green environment
The former ‘Groene Kruis’ building was situated in the pastoral area of Lombok, at the edge of the ‘Leersumse bossen’ and the corner of the Koningin Julianastraat and the Meester Bosweg. In 2015, Ingenious bought this building of the Housing Association Amerongen which was in a merger process with the Housing Foundation from Rhenen, currently named Rhenam Wonen. After an extensive process of neighbourhood participation, a small-scale housing construction plan came into being, with 14 ground-floor flats and upstairs flats. The houses at the ground floor all have a beautiful garden in front and at the back of the house, and the houses are very suitable for the elderly. Apart from that, 5 of the 14 social owner-occupied houses were built to serve the starters of the housing market.
