In 2021, Ingenious bought an area of over 12,500 square metres, with an old farm, barns and stables, situated in the area of the houses in the north-western part of Amerongen. The municipality of the ‘Utrechtse Heuvelrug’ had wanted to expand this village for years, by building much needed houses.
Ingenious currently works on planning this location where nature and climate adaptation are key. Apart from that, there is a varied housing programme based on building social housing, cheap houses and life-course sustainable houses. We aim for adding 48 houses to Amerongen, so the people of Amerongen can continue living there.
